Are you driven by the challenge of turning complex data into strategic business insights? Do you want to play a key role in advancing the renewable energy sector alongside Wind Estate? If you possess strong analytical skills, a knack for financial modeling, an eye for detail, and are commercially focused, we have an exciting opportunity for you.
Wind Estate is a long-time prominent player in the renewable energy sector and one of Denmark’s leading developers with a 25-year company history. We have a robust mix of a strong future-proof development pipeline and a significant well-run fleet, generating renewable energy in Denmark and the UK.
With a commitment to environmental stewardship and innovation, Wind Estate focuses on harnessing the power of wind and solar to generate clean and renewable electricity.
To further strengthen our Financial Planning & Analysis team, we are looking for a financial analyst to primarily support the organization with financial insights and analysis but also to contribute by strengthening the foundations for making sound business decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Developing and maintaining business cases, scenarios and valuation models in Excel from the development phase until final investment decision
- Preparing and presenting decision material and recommendations to project managers and Wind Estates executive management
- Supporting financing processes both at project and company level in DK and UK
- Act as a risk manager on infrastructure projects and company level – identifying, assessing, quantifying and mitigating financial risks
- Monitoring the company’s offtake positions and PPA market
- Ad hoc support of business development and/or M&A activities by developing or reviewing valuation models
- Contributing to the further development of best practices, methodologies and models.
About you
You hold a MSc in finance, economics or the like and ideally have a couple years of relevant experience from the infrastructure industry, a consultancy, a financial institution or the like. Preferably, this has provided you with experience within various valuation models and facilitating investment decisions, but most important is that you are eager to learn and want to develop into a world-class commercially focused financial analyst.
To succeed in the role, we expect you to have a bright analytical mind and know your way around Excel and PowerPoint. Your attention to details is second to none and you are motivated by number crunching and translating data into value driven business insights.
You like to create structure and keep your eyes on the target. That being said, you are also flexible and able to adapt when business demands you to do so.
What We Offer
You will be part of an organization with an entrepreneurial mindset and a can-do attitude. We are curious and progress is at the forefront. We dare to think big and new, and the willingness to “dare to fail” is a natural part of the process. You will be empowered to fulfil your tasks with no micro-management and your personal and professional development is important to us.
The position is based in Randers, Denmark, with flexibility to work from home subject to the nature of the work and assignments.
The Company
The portfolio of Wind Estate reflects a solid and robust range of projects from early-stage development till decommissioning.

We take pride in our business and remain humble in the face of the task at hand, which is to ensure the accelerated expansion of green energy and the growth of our company in a responsible and economically viable manner, all while maintaining our commitment to being a nurturing, secure, and enjoyable workplace.
